Position Overview:

The role of Quality Control Engineer II involves being a performance and subject matter expert in analytical methodologies pertinent to the testing of finished products, ensuring compliance with established standard operating procedures efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and resolve technical and instrumental inquiries within the analytical chemistry division.
  • Serve as the primary contact for analytical inquiries and technical escalations within the department.
  • Collaborate proactively with Production, Technical, and Manufacturing teams to address quality issues stemming from customer feedback and internal incidents, facilitating investigations and resolutions.
  • Identify and implement enhancements across the quality department and operational facilities.
  • Demonstrate independent decision-making capabilities and work autonomously when necessary.
  • Conduct statistical analyses to evaluate data trends and drive improvement initiatives.
  • Exercise significant discretion in addressing technical objectives and developing solutions for complex challenges.
  • Continuously seek to improve efficiency in processes and procedures while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • May undertake additional related responsibilities as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: A bachelor's degree in a Chemistry-related field is required.

Experience: Extensive experience in analytical chemistry and a background in a related environment is essential, demonstrating a solid grasp of scientific principles.

Experience with HPLC and ICP-MS/OES systems, as well as method development and validation, is also critical.

Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multi-functional team setting and interact with all organizational levels.

Effective communication and collaboration with both internal and external development teams are vital.

A robust understanding of ISO 13485 and quality management systems is required.

Collaboration:

This position involves extensive collaboration with various departments within the operational unit, as well as communication with customers and external laboratories.

Work Environment:

The work is conducted in an analytical laboratory setting, which may involve sampling of raw materials and WFI, necessitating the movement of boxes and pallets.
