Job Summary:
Hays Specialist Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a large volume housebuilding site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Site Operations: Supervise construction activities to ensure work is carried out safely, on time, and within budget.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of work performed by subcontractors and ensure it meets the required standards and specifications.
- Health and Safety: Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to on site, conduct regular safety inspections, and address any issues promptly.
- Stakeholder Management: Liaise with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and coordination throughout the project.
- Resource Management: Assist in the management of materials, equipment, and labour to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Progress Reporting: Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management, highlighting any potential delays or issues.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve any issues that arise during the construction process to minimize disruptions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs, inspection reports, and safety documentation.
- Client Interaction: Assist in client meetings and site visits, providing updates and addressing any concerns they may have.
- Training and Mentoring: Support the training and development of junior staff and new team members.
Requirements:
- Experience: Proven experience in large volume house building.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office, with experience in Microsoft Projects or Aster a plus.
- Qualifications: First Aid, SMSTS, CSCS Card, and a clean driving license.
- Communication Skills: Strong, clear communication experience.
