Person SpecificationThe ideal candidate will have:
- Full registration with the GMC and be on the Specialist Register or be within 6 months of their CCT
- MB BS or equivalent
- MRCP or equivalent
- Entry on the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Certificate of completion of training (CCT) or Certificate of eligibility for specialist registration (CESR)
The following qualifications and experiences are desirable:
- Training in Peritoneal Dialysis
- Able to undertake Native and transplant renal biopsies independently without supervision
- Training in medical insertion of peritoneal dialysis catheters
- Experience in managing patients with lupus
The post will provide opportunities for training and development, including higher specialist training in renal medicine and experience in training undergraduates and postgraduates.
Management and Audit ExperienceThe successful candidate will be able to provide evidence of clinical audit and demonstrate understanding of impact and challenges this brings. They will also be able to support team members in business planning via collaboration and discussion.
Academic AchievementsThe ideal candidate will have experience of clinical research and be able to describe and discuss findings and impact. They will also be able to apply research outcomes to clinical problems and demonstrate a number of first-author publications in indexed journals.
