Job Role

**Service Care Solutions - Healthcare** is seeking a highly skilled **Senior SQL Developer** to join our team on a temporary agency contract.

  • This is a trust-wide post with operational responsibility across the entire organization for all databases.
  • The department's Database and Integration Engineer is responsible for the support and maintenance of all 900 or so databases hosted/managed by the ICT department.
  • The department primarily utilizes Microsoft SQL technology, and the post holder should possess excellent knowledge of this technology and act as the department's Subject Matter Expert (SME) on SQL database technology.
  • The post holder will set the trust's database technology strategy and vision with the HOD and make decisions on the operations of all trust SQL Database Management Systems (DBMS).
  • This post has responsibilities for continually improving database performance and maintaining data quality and integrity, namely accuracy, completeness, consistency, and validity.
  • The post holder will also design and implement new database systems.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and manage multiple database projects simultaneously throughout the year, which may exceed 50 in a year.
  • Design and implement new database systems to meet the trust's needs.
  • Continually improve database performance and maintain data quality and integrity.
  • Act as the department's Subject Matter Expert (SME) on SQL database technology.
