Five Hour Club is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant/Senior Bookkeeper to join their team. As a key member of the Amelix Group, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
The ideal candidate will have experience with Xero and possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills. We are open to discussing flexible working arrangements to accommodate life commitments, including a mix of office and home working.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss, and cash flow statements.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, supervising bookkeeping activities.
- Help with queries and checking the reconciliation of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Oversee and conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and company policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial analysis and support decision-making processes.
- Assist in the implementation of financial systems and process improvements.
Requirements
- AAT level 4 as a minimum.
- Proven experience as a senior bookkeeper/accountant or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or BrightPay.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of the Hospitality industry would be a bonus.
The role is working for a dynamic and creative group of companies, and things change quickly and expansion is rapid.
