Role Responsibilities

The Future Airspace Project Manager will oversee the Airspace Change Programme, ensuring compliance with CAP1616, the regulatory framework governing airspace design. This involves translating CAP1616 into a comprehensive project plan and budget that addresses resource allocation, communication strategies, environmental considerations, and technical requirements.

You will collaborate with external contractors, professional service providers, and design teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective project outcomes. Establishing strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, is essential, as is representing MAG in external discussions.

Additionally, you will work closely with fellow Airspace team members and the commercial and procurement teams to effectively plan, manage, and execute the program of work. Regular monitoring and reporting on project progress, risks, and budget to various internal and external boards will be a key aspect of your role.

Key Success Factors

To excel in this position, you must possess strong stakeholder management and communication skills, along with the ability to navigate challenging, fast-paced environments. Organizational skills, effective time management, and the capability to tackle complex issues under tight deadlines are crucial.

Proven success in project delivery is essential, preferably within the airspace sector, and a professional membership in a relevant field is advantageous. While direct line management is not a component of this role, a willingness to guide and mentor others, along with adaptability, innovation, and collaboration, is highly valued.
