About the Company:


Interaction Technical has teamed up with a leading manufacturer in Agricultural Engineering Equipment located in the Dorset area to enhance their engineering workforce.

As the business expands, our client is seeking to recruit an electromechanical field engineer to operate in and around the Dorchester area, focusing on the maintenance, repair, and servicing of various Agricultural machinery.

Compensation Package:

  • Competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £40,000 based on experience, with an OTE of £45,000-£50,000+
  • 32 days of holiday including bank holidays, increasing with tenure
  • Overtime available at 1.5X during weekdays, and double on Sundays and Bank Holidays
  • Holiday overtime compensation - paid in May (£1,500 was paid last year)
  • Commitment to ongoing training and career advancement
  • Pension scheme with a minimum employee contribution of 3% and 8% from the employer
  • Provision of a company van, fuel card, mobile phone, etc.
  • All travel time and expenses covered from home to site.
  • Excellent earning potential with opportunities for progression
Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnosing faults accurately, servicing, and conducting emergency repairs on agricultural machinery (tractors, combines, balers, etc.)
  • Traveling to customer locations to ensure machinery is maintained and repaired to the highest standards.
  • Performing diagnostics to identify mechanical and electrical issues on agricultural and horticultural equipment
  • Ability to work independently at customer sites while collaborating with colleagues to ensure comprehensive documentation and optimal solutions are provided.
  • Engaging with engines, batteries, and hydraulics, along with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Communicating with clients to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions.
Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience with hydraulics, along with mechanical and electrical skills (essential)
  • Background in the Agricultural industry (essential)
  • Experience in electrical and/or mechanical fault diagnosis, repair, and servicing (advantageous)
  • Familiarity with engines and batteries (advantageous)
  • Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City and Guilds in mechanical/electrical engineering (advantageous)
  • Valid UK Driver's License
