As an HGV Driver/Loader, you will be responsible for operating company vehicles to collect loads from various locations, following planned routes and schedules, and ensuring the safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate company vehicles to collect loads from various commercial, industrial, and residential locations nationwide.
  • Follow planned routes and schedules provided by the operations team.
  • Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects, ensuring that your vehicle is roadworthy and presentable to Company standards.
  • Manually or mechanically load and unload, ensuring all items are handled safely and efficiently.
  • Use appropriate handling equipment such as trolleys, pallet trucks, and tail lifts to assist with loading/unloading operations.
  • Comply with all legislation including driver's hours and highway regulations.
  • Provide customers with the highest level of service.
  • Demonstrate excellent awareness and understanding of Health and Safety.

Requirements:

  • Class 2 driving licence
  • Minimum 1 year's driving experience
  • Digital tachograph
  • Valid driver DCPC
  • Able to competently and safely operate assigned vehicles
  • Excellent customer service
  • Have a can-do attitude
  • Passion for driving
  • ADR – dangerous goods qualification is desirable
