Locum Consultant

About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative consultant to join our team in Emergency Medicine at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. As a consultant, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the shift leader in the management of patient flow and activity through the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrate strong clinical leadership when working clinically across the many areas of the department, delivering excellent and high-quality patient care.
- Work collaboratively with other clinical colleagues to further reform the urgent and emergency care pathway.
- Attend internal and external Stake Holder meetings as required.
- Participate in the professional supervision, management and teaching of the staff within the Emergency Department.
- Participate in clinical audit across the department in line with Trust policy and guidelines.
Requirements
- Full GMC registration.
- CCST/CCT in Emergency Medicine.
- General training in Emergency Medicine to specialist level or equivalent.
- Knowledge of the organisation of the NHS and Governments agenda for its modernisation.
- Awareness of Clinical Governance, and demonstrates commitment to high quality service delivery.
- Sufficient leadership and organisational skills.
- Communication, professional and personal skills to undertake effectively the role of consultant.
