Warehouse Operator Job Description

The Gi Group is seeking a skilled Warehouse Operator to join our client, a leading distribution company in Livingston. This is a temporary, ongoing opportunity that requires a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Unload containers from incoming vehicles and sort parcels to the correct dispatch location
  • Load parcels onto outgoing transport and scan and identify parcel destinations by code number or postcode
  • Place mail into the correct wheeled container for dispatch

Working Conditions:

The operations take place in a loud, busy factory-style environment where you will be standing for long periods of time, lifting items up to 11KG in weight and pushing wheeled containers weighing up to 250kg. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is essential, and you will be required to apply for a DBS check.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment
  • Ability to lift items up to 11KG in weight and push wheeled containers weighing up to 250kg
  • DBS check required
