We deliver acute hospital, primary, community, and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this position is Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00.

We are looking to recruit two Band 2 Maintenance Assistants to join our team to carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance across the hospital campus, as well as supporting our tradesmen and technicians.

These posts are dayshift posts, Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:00.

The successful candidate(s) must:

  • Have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a healthcare environment.
  • Be able to demonstrate significant knowledge and understanding of a wide range of work tasks that would be required within a healthcare environment.

Band 2 Maintenance Assistants have the opportunity to move to a Band 3 post on successful completion of specific training courses/qualifications.

The accompanying Person Specification provides details of Essential and Desirable qualifications, experience, and competencies required for this post.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance across the hospital campus.
  • Support our tradesmen and technicians in their work.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a healthcare environment.
  • Significant knowledge and understanding of a wide range of work tasks that would be required within a healthcare environment.
