Tax Strategist for Complex Transactions

KPMG's Deal Advisory Tax Team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Senior Manager to join our dynamic team. We provide market-leading tax advisory services to both Financial and Corporate investors across the UK and internationally.

Our clients range from private equity, infrastructure, and real estate funds to institutional investors like sovereign wealth funds and pension funds, as well as FTSE 100 and 250 businesses. We support them with a wide range of transactions, including acquisitions, carve-outs, de-mergers, disposals, joint ventures, refinancing, and listings.

Your Role:

  • Provide exceptional tax advice and service on complex transactions, working closely with Partners and Directors.
  • Contribute to the pursuit of new opportunities by developing proposals and participating in pitches.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, legal advisors, and other KPMG teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
  • Mentor and develop colleagues, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
  • Prepare detailed technical advice on UK and international tax matters, highlighting key issues and their commercial impact.
  • Collaborate with other tax specialists across the UK and internationally, critically analyzing and challenging their input.
  • Stay abreast of current UK and OECD tax developments and incorporate them into your work.
  • Understand financial models from a tax perspective and contribute to Deal Advisory Tax thought leadership.

Your Profile:

  • Qualified CTA or ACA/CA or equivalent.
  • Ambitious, enthusiastic, and passionate about working on transactions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Solid UK corporate tax knowledge and awareness of other tax and accounting matters.
  • Strong analytical skills, a commercial approach to problem-solving, and the ability to provide insightful advice.
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to work effectively in teams and independently.
  • Proactive in identifying business opportunities and building long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
