About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Long-term Teachers Ltd. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the classroom teacher in managing the class and supporting students in focusing and engaging in their learning
  • Work with students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to provide additional support and guidance
  • Assist with preparing the classroom for lessons and maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment
  • Build meaningful relationships with students to help them excel academically, socially, and emotionally
Requirements
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of strategies to support young people with both their studies and wellbeing
  • Understanding of additional needs including autism, ADHD, and Asperger's
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work well as part of a team
  • Ability to drive and have access to your own vehicle
