We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Scientist to join our Cellular Pathology team at North West London Pathology. As a Senior Scientist, you will be responsible for leading the Immunohistochemistry (IHC) section, ensuring the highest quality of service delivery and contributing to the development of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the IHC section, managing staff and ensuring the smooth operation of the laboratory
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the highest standards of service delivery
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve laboratory processes and services
  • Contribute to the development of our laboratory services, including the implementation of new technologies and techniques
  • Provide training and support to junior staff members

Requirements

  • HCPC Registration
  • MSc, FIBMS or equivalent in a relevant discipline or extensive relevant experience
  • Practical analytical skills associated with diagnostic laboratory work
  • Numerate competence in PC word processing, spreadsheet and database software
  • Quick to learn and comprehend
  • Prepared to work with biological materials
