Regulatory Affairs Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Legislation and Compliance Specialist to join our team at Consilium Recruit. As a key member of our Marine team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the product certification process and ensuring compliance with global hydrogen and marine standards.
About the RoleThe Marine Legislation and Compliance Specialist will be responsible for:
- Interpreting and complying with various global hydrogen and marine standards, including engine and hydrogen fuel storage and delivery system approvals.
- Acting as an interface for external parties, such as Classification Societies, to exchange testing and witnessing requirements and cascade requirements to the engineering and calibration teams.
- Overseeing multiple complex schedules, setting priorities for internal teams, and advising Company management of the legislation/compliance project statuses on a regular basis.
- Developing new project legislation approval and coordinating the efforts of the engineering and production departments to ensure programs are conducted in accordance with the safety standard requirements.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate compliance requirements into the development process and coordinating prototype certification testing to qualify new designs/systems.
- Ensuring compliance to safety analysis, including DFMEA, HAZID, HAZOP, HAT, and SAT, alongside supplying ongoing training to the engineering teams, acting as a resource and mentor for technical guidance.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in engineering, business, or a related field of study.
- Experience in advocacy and engagement with regulatory agencies.
- The ability to travel internationally to no more than 20% of the overall working pattern annually.
- Computer and software systems skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, and Outlook.
- Exceptional organisational skills.
