NMS Recruit Ltd is on the lookout for skilled Audio Visual Systems Technicians with substantial expertise in 100v line systems to join a premier organization in the Audio Visual Retail and Hospitality sector.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to providing exceptional installation and service support in various locations, ensuring that all work directives are adhered to for both system setups and maintenance tasks, while achieving the highest standards of quality.


Key Responsibilities

- Independently perform audio system installations and service calls based on detailed plans and specific work instructions, or collaborate as part of a two-person team with another engineer or subcontractor.

- Promptly communicate with the Operations team or Project Manager regarding any issues encountered on-site.

- Ensure compliance with client protocols when on-site, including proper check-in and check-out procedures.

- Conduct thorough fault diagnosis of audio and audio-visual system problems, providing accurate feedback to the technical team with recommendations if issues cannot be resolved on-site.

- Obtain necessary approvals from the technical support team to extend service calls if they exceed the allotted time.

- Occasionally act as the lead engineer for installations on behalf of the Project Manager.

- Complete all required documentation accurately, including marking up plans and ensuring timely submission of paperwork to the office.

- Assist fellow engineers in the field, including transporting equipment to job sites.

- Maintain precise inventory records and stock levels of essential equipment in the company vehicle.

- Fill out health and safety documentation accurately.


Required Experience

- A minimum of 2-3 years in an audio visual installation or service role with experience in 100v line systems.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

- Physically capable of handling equipment installations, including carrying equipment to locations where parking is restricted.

- Comfortable working at heights.

- A valid driving license, ideally held for over five years.

- Willingness to travel away from home as needed and at short notice.

- Experience working on construction sites.

- Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and cutting equipment.

- Possession of a CSCS/ECS Card and Asbestos Awareness qualification is preferred, though training will be provided.

- IPAF/PASMA and Working at Height certifications are advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be offered.

- Flexibility regarding working hours is essential to meet client needs, which may include early morning or late evening shifts.
