About the PBS Team
The Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) team comprises a PBS Manager and two PBS Practitioners. This team collaborates with the operational staff to implement effective strategies and achieve optimal outcomes for individuals, particularly those with significant behavioural needs.
Our PBS approach is person-centered and evidence-based, adhering to the PBS Competency framework and current best practices. We prioritize collaboration with the individuals we support, aiming to enhance their quality of life while minimizing restrictions. This is accomplished through functional assessments, data analysis, report writing, direct support, service visits, observations, skill development, and teamwork.
As a Positive Behaviour Organisation, the PBS team at Bethphage also plays a vital role in supporting our colleagues by providing staff training, debriefing sessions, post-incident analysis, and mental health first aid across the organization.
Candidate Profile
We seek individuals who are passionate about making a meaningful impact on the lives of those we support. We welcome applications from candidates who are eager to contribute to a responsive and positive service, possess experience in assisting individuals with challenging behaviours, and wish to be part of a supportive and knowledgeable team. Your role will be diverse and fulfilling, encompassing responsibilities such as providing direct support, facilitating staff training and debriefs, conducting functional assessments and behaviour analysis, developing, implementing, and evaluating PBS plans, and collaborating with individuals to enhance their skills and independence. Additionally, you will aid staff in building their skills, confidence, and resilience.
This position allows for hybrid working, with part of the week spent in service.
