The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Planning Manager to join our team in a strategic infrastructure project. As a key member of our programme delivery team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the planning and scheduling of complex projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of planning and scheduling professionals to deliver high-quality project plans and schedules.
- Develop and implement effective planning and scheduling strategies to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
- Provide expert advice and guidance on planning and scheduling best practices to project teams.
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date project schedules, resource plans, and other project documentation.
- Develop and implement effective communication plans to ensure stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities to improve project efficiency, productivity, and quality.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve planning and scheduling capabilities.
Requirements
- Proven experience in planning and scheduling complex infrastructure projects, with a strong track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire high-performing teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Advanced knowledge of planning and scheduling tools, techniques, and methodologies, including Primavera P6.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering project success.
