Medical Planner Job Description

NBBJ is seeking a Medical Planner with experience in designing and planning complex healthcare projects, including large-scale hospitals. As a Medical Planner, you will work with clients to identify objectives and formulate options, effectively participate in Clinical User Group meetings and client presentations, and collaborate with Architects, Interior Designers, and Project Managers from Concept Design through to Construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and plan hospitals and clinics
  • Work with clients to identify objectives and formulate options
  • Effectively participate in Clinical User Group meetings and client presentations
  • Collaborate with Architects, Interior Designers, and Project Managers from Concept Design through to Construction
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10+ years Medical Planning experience – complex healthcare projects of any scale
  • Demonstrated excellence in design and innovation
  • Experience in leading HC projects from briefing/concept design through construction administration
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment with design teams, consultants, clients
  • Skilled in leadership and management of user group engagements and development of deliverables
  • Familiarity with issues surrounding innovative healthcare strategic planning, Medical Planning, and briefing
  • Experience marketing HC projects
  • Familiarity with current industry practices, trends, and innovation
  • Revit proficient
  • Willingness to travel
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Professional Licensure, required
  • LEED Accreditation, encouraged
  • Familiarity with LEAN Concepts, encouraged
  • Familiarity with C-Sheet Process
  • Excellent written, verbal and graphic communication skills
  • Proactive and independent approach to work and ownership of assigned tasks
