The Role: Mental Health Transport Assistant
As a Mental Health Transport Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and dignified transport of patients to and from various healthcare facilities. You will work closely with our dedicated team of professionals to provide a supportive and reassuring experience for those in your care.
Responsibilities:
- Transport patients safely and efficiently to appointments, hospitals, and other destinations.
- Provide compassionate and empathetic support to patients throughout their journey.
- Maintain accurate records of patient transport details and any incidents that may occur.
- Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and other team members.

Working Pattern:
This is a full-time contract (40.3 hours) worked on a 4 on 4 off rolling shift pattern, 4 days 5am-6pm and 4 nights 7pm-7am – or cross-over shift continuous working pattern 09:30am – 10pm.
Salary:
This contract is paid at a blended rate of £12.37 per hour (Day, Night and Weekend Shifts). Annual Remuneration to start from £26,593.80, based on expected hours. Shift pay enhancements are also available for some call-in or overtime shifts.
