GSL Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our special needs Secondary school near Emsworth. Our school caters for around 100 pupils who require a personalized curriculum to meet their moderate learning needs, physical, sensory, and language challenges, many of whom may be on the Autism Spectrum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working under the guidance of an experienced teacher to support the learning and development of students with special educational needs.
- Providing targeted interventions to small groups of KS3 and 4 children to help them overcome learning challenges.
- Supporting teachers in assessing student progress and developing strategies to improve outcomes.
- Creating a nurturing and inclusive environment where each child can flourish and reach their full potential.
- Safeguarding the welfare of students and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK.
- Up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education.
