Your Responsibilities:
- Oversee the commercial management of various contracts and bids.
- Identify risks and liabilities in contractual agreements and ensure the business understands potential impacts.
- Safeguard the commercial interests of the delivery team at all times.
- Lead, mentor, and manage team members effectively.
- Estimate costs and implement robust cost control measures.
- Manage subcontractor relationships, including drafting agreements and payment valuations.
- Support project procurement processes.
- Provide timely and high-quality management reports to senior leadership as needed.
- Offer commercial support to other departments within the organization.
- Address day-to-day commercial issues.
Qualifications We Seek:
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management and problem-solving.
- Relevant HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of contract forms, including NEC.
- Experience with a main contractor in the Industrial, Water, or Energy sectors.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with operations and maintenance contracting.
- Multi-disciplinary experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector.
