About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team at AMETEK. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for driving cost reduction, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to reduce costs and improve supplier performance.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery and high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify business needs and develop procurement plans.
  • Analyze market trends and data to inform procurement decisions.
  • Develop and manage metrics to measure supplier performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of procurement plans.
  • Identify and develop new supplier opportunities to improve cost savings and supplier diversity.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement or a related field, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create complex spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
