Job Title: Children's Registered Manager

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Registered Manager to lead our Children's Home, providing high-quality care and support to young people with Learning Disabilities. As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational running of the Home, ensuring the safety and well-being of each child is at the heart of everyday practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage a team of skilled staff, providing emotional support and ensuring they are trained to an excellent standard.
  2. Engage with children, setting examples and building excellent rapport.
  3. Lead from the front, setting excellent expectations for the staff and young people alike.
  4. Develop and implement care plans, ensuring positive outcomes for the children you support.
  5. Understand and knowledge of safeguarding processes and policies.
  6. De-escalate challenging behaviour and work in a team to delegate tasks.

Requirements:

  1. Must have a caring and open-minded nature and be willing to work on call.
  2. At least 2 years experience of working within a residential children's setting within the last 5 years.
  3. Experience to meet in line with Ofsted requirements.
  4. Hold a Level 5 Health and Social Care Management and Leadership.
  5. Ideally hold a Level 3 Residential Childcare qualification.
