About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Thames Water. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our electrical equipment at our water production sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and diagnose complex electrical faults and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, testing, and repairs of electrical equipment.
  • Provide technical advice and support to colleagues and trainees on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Participate in a standby rota to provide emergency support during out-of-hours periods.
  • Complete a License to Operate training program to ensure compliance with water treatment processes.
Requirements
  • 18th Edition electrical City and Guilds certification is essential.
  • Experience in electrical systems maintenance, preferably in a multi-skilled capacity.
  • NVQ or City & Guilds level 3 in mechanical engineering is desirable.
  • Knowledge of health and safety issues relevant to the industry is essential.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces and willingness to complete relevant training.
  • A full UK driving license is required.
