Active Care Group is dedicated to delivering exceptional support services with a focus on individual needs and preferences.

We are looking for a motivated and caring individual to assist a gentleman with a brain injury in his daily activities in the Nottingham area.

Your role will involve aiding him in his daily care routines and rehabilitation efforts to enhance his quality of life and independence, both at home and within the community. Comprehensive training and guidance will be provided. You will become part of a skilled care team committed to delivering high-quality, person-centered support.

This position includes evening and weekend shifts, as well as occasional overnight duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Empower the client to make choices and maintain control over their daily life as much as possible, considering any cognitive challenges.
  • Communicate and collaborate with the family as necessary.
  • Assist the client with personal hygiene and grooming as required.
  • Support the client in accessing local services, including shopping and recreational activities, and attending community events.
  • Adhere to the documented care plan tailored for the client.
  • Keep accurate and confidential records of care provided.
  • Engage in manual handling procedures as outlined for the client.
  • Maintain professional boundaries with the client and their family, following guidance from the case manager as appropriate.

Candidate Profile:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Dependable and professional, valuing integrity and confidentiality.
  • Friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Adaptable and able to perform well under pressure.
  • Possession of a valid driving license and car insurance for business use.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting individuals with brain or spinal injuries.
  • Familiarity with providing care to adults, including knowledge of PEG feeding.
  • Experience working collaboratively with another support worker.

Note: Active Care Group is not an employment agency; we assist our clients in recruiting their own support workers as part of our case management services. You will be directly employed by the client, while Active Care Group oversees all aspects of the care package.
