Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bartender to join our team at HAP Alaska-Yukon. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests while maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service Excellence: Provide positive guest interactions while serving guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages to patrons while following all state and local laws and company policies.
  • Workspace Management: Organize and set up the workspace before, during, and after each shift, including stocking, cleaning, sanitizing, and prep work.
  • Menu Presentation: Knowledgeably present menus and recommendations to guests.
  • Guest Greeting: Greet and welcome guests to the restaurant while maintaining a professional appearance.
  • Financial Transactions: Operate a computerized point of sale system, completing financial transactions accurately, making change, and running credit cards.
  • Teamwork: Contribute effectively to a positive guest experience while maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.
Requirements
  • Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol in the State of Alaska.
  • Certifications: Must have or be able to obtain an Alaska Food Handler's Card and a valid alcohol safety card for the State of Alaska.
  • Background Check: Must pass a pre-employment background check.
  • Availability: Must be available to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
