MIG Welder Fabricator Position - Competitive Pay - Immediate Opportunities Available


We are collaborating with a reputable engineering firm seeking a skilled MIG Welder Fabricator to enhance their growing workforce.


This position involves both workshop and fieldwork, necessitating a valid driver's license. Additionally, personal transportation is required due to the job's location.


The company specializes in manufacturing a variety of products including operating shafts, staircases, flap valves, hand railings, access covers, platforms, walkways, and escape ladders.


The compensation for this role can reach up to £18 per hour, contingent on your expertise and experience.


Working Hours:
Core hours are typically from 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday when in the workshop, and generally from 5:30 AM to 4:30 PM for site work, though these may vary.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG Welding tasks
  • Fabricate using guillotines, press brakes, sanders, bandsaws, and other machinery
  • Operate lathes and mills
  • Engage in various steelwork and architectural projects
  • Interpret engineering drawings
  • Utilize grinding tools (110v/240v 4.5" & 9" grinders)
  • Conduct drilling operations (pillar drill, magnetic drill)
  • Use oxy/acetylene for cutting and forming
  • Fabricate staircases, platforms, handrails, bridges, ladders, etc.
  • Willingness to work in the workshop and undertake site installations


Qualifications:

  • Proficient in MIG Welding
  • Experience in fabrication using guillotines, press brakes, and hand tools
  • Ideally, familiarity with architectural metalwork
  • A collaborative team player, open to site work when required


This is a permanent position, subject to successful completion of a probationary period.
