Position Overview

We are seeking a Versatile Engineering Technician with a focus on electrical systems to become a vital part of our PFI contracts team.

Location: Various sites across North Essex.

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Key Responsibilities

As a Versatile Engineering Technician, you will collaborate with the hard services team, assisting in maintenance activities across multiple locations.

Your daily tasks will encompass:

  • Executing planned preventative and reactive maintenance schedules as well as participating in the call-out rota for this PFI contract.
  • Overseeing all mechanical and electrical (M&E), water hygiene, and fabric maintenance across the designated sites.
  • Maintaining up-to-date records for all M&E plant equipment.
  • Serving as the LV Authorised Person for the contract in accordance with HTM06-02 standards.

Candidate Profile

This role is an excellent fit for you if:

  • You possess relevant industry qualifications and have experience in fault diagnosis and planned maintenance across electrical, mechanical, and fabric disciplines.
  • You are skilled in first-line response for various electrical and mechanical equipment, including lighting systems, emergency lighting, power sockets, minor works, air handling units (AHUs), air conditioning units, boilers, pumps, pressurization units, generators, fire alarms, and security systems.
  • You hold qualifications equivalent to NVQ Level 3, along with the 18th Edition and 2391 certifications.
  • You have a valid driving license.
