Location: Hybrid working model

Salary: Competitive, ranging from £29,000 to £36,000

The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) is dedicated to enhancing its commitment to Environmental and Sustainability practices. We are expanding our team to effectively implement our Environmental Policy and Sustainability Strategy, aiming for significant progress in our sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the execution, monitoring, and evaluation of the Environmental Policy and Sustainability Strategy, including the development and oversight of action plans.
  2. Manage the collection and reporting of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance data, ensuring accuracy and compliance for mandatory reports.
  3. Analyze performance data to provide insights into current progress, identify best practices, and explore opportunities for enhancing our sustainability efforts.
  4. Coordinate and support workforce groups focused on sustainability initiatives, fostering collaboration and idea-sharing.
  5. Develop and disseminate ESG communications, including press releases and updates for internal platforms.
  6. Facilitate the creation and delivery of ESG training programs, including e-learning modules and presentations.
  7. Promote community engagement opportunities for employees through volunteering initiatives.
  8. Support teams in integrating ESG principles into their daily operations.
  9. Commit to professional development through an apprenticeship program in Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability.

Candidate Profile:

Essential:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs, including English and Mathematics.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a positive work ethic.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Passion for addressing environmental and sustainability challenges.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Change.
  • Familiarity with carbon footprint calculations.
  • Awareness of broader ESG issues beyond Net Zero.
