About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in the UK. The ideal candidate must possess railway knowledge, with experience in both single and multidisciplinary projects related to traction power, earthing and bonding, and track plant and equipment.

This role may also include working on projects internationally for Egis, including travel within the UK and Ireland. The role will be based in our London office on a hybrid basis.

The Senior Electrical Engineer forms part of the engineering team based in London. The role assumes general responsibilities that proactively contribute to Project delivery and design.

  • Undertake and lead a full technical design, design markups, and overseeing drawing production for project delivery on electrical projects.
  • Complete all relevant designs by completing detailed calculations to meet the regulatory, industry, and business requirements.
  • Proficient in the use of engineering software tools, including Dialux or Relux, Amtech.
  • Review of the co-ordinated construction drawings and documentation.
  • Detailed review of specialist supplier packages for compliance with project specifications and applicable industry standards.
  • Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and certification of electrical services will be beneficial.
  • Basic drawing production within AutoCAD or Revit would be beneficial.

About You:


• A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering/Electrical Services Engineering or Building Services Engineering


• Experience in electrical project engineering or a similar role


• Strong understanding of electrical systems from a design or construction perspective


• Capable of working as part of a team and on own initiative


• Good knowledge of the current electrical, fire alarm, and emergency lighting standards


• Knowledge of key engineering software packages such as Dialux or Relux, Amtech, and Navisworks is desirable but not essential
