Position Overview:

As a Certified Electrical Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all electrical services are executed in a proficient, effective, and professional manner, meeting the expectations of our diverse clientele. Key Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrate substantial experience in electrical installations within a highly regulated setting, post-apprenticeship.
  • Isolate malfunctioning equipment from the power source, conduct visual inspections for faults, and test mechanical components to identify issues, followed by implementing corrective measures.
  • Install electrical systems and related apparatus, ensuring all work is certified appropriately.
  • Assist in the preparation of cost estimates and quotations as necessary.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and implement sound engineering and safety practices.
  • A background in multi-skilled trades with a solid understanding of High Voltage systems is advantageous.
  • Commit to participating in company-standard internal training workshops and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Manage assigned work orders from initiation to completion.
  • Provide updates on the status of assigned work orders.
  • Follow all current company protocols and procedures.
  • Comply with the Quality Management System applicable to all Mechanical and Electrical systems.
  • Foster relationships with existing clients and explore opportunities with potential new customers.
  • Collaborate within a mobile team comprising electrical, mechanical, and building personnel.
  • Promote continuous improvement and strive for cost-effectiveness.
  • Be prepared to work in secure and sensitive environments.

Candidate Profile:

  • Qualified with City & Guilds 2360 Parts 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ & C&G 18th Edition.
  • Hold C&G Inspection & Testing certification.
  • C&G Design & Verification certification is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Experience in the installation, testing, and maintenance of Low Voltage distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with standby power systems, including generators and Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS).
  • Knowledge of safe working practices and permit-to-work systems.
  • Proven ability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders on complex issues.
  • Understanding of Air Conditioning systems and controls.
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or processing sectors, particularly within a GMP environment, is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills and a flexible approach to work schedules.
