Role Overview
As a Proposals Engineer at Zeeco Europe, you will be instrumental in crafting multidisciplinary proposals that integrate both technical and commercial elements. While prior experience in a similar capacity is advantageous, we highly value candidates with a solid engineering foundation and a dedication to achieving outstanding results.
This position is primarily office-based, yet it offers opportunities for international travel, predominantly within the EMEAR region, to interact with clients and engage in technical and commercial discussions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Evaluation: Analyze and interpret customer inquiries and specifications to design and specify suitable equipment.
- Process Engineering: Acquire a comprehensive understanding of process design and calculations, with training provided.
- Proposal Creation: Develop competitive technical and commercial proposals that meet customer needs and scope of supply.
- Client Interaction: Maintain communication with clients throughout the quotation process, addressing technical and commercial inquiries to secure orders.
- Post-Order Assistance: Work alongside the project execution team, preparing process data sheets and supporting the drafting team as necessary.
- Continuous Enhancement: Contribute to the improvement of sales presentations and documentation using MS Office and other software tools.
- Quality Assurance: Comply with Zeeco's quality management systems (ISO9001:2015, ISO14001, ISO45001) and advocate for a safe working environment.
Candidate Profile:
- Educational Qualifications: Minimum HND or equivalent in engineering (electrical, mechanical, chemical, or a related discipline).
- Professional Experience: Over 5 years in sales/proposals or a relevant sector, with experience in fired combustion equipment or process knowledge being beneficial.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Collaborative Spirit: A team-oriented mindset, capable of working effectively within a group.
- Detail-Oriented: Resourceful, organized, reliable, and meticulous.
- Decision-Making: Confident, assertive, and able to make independent decisions.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel internationally as required.
