About the Role
Trailmix Games is seeking a talented Studio Design Manager to collaborate closely with our Chief Creative Officer and elevate the creative direction of our company. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in nurturing the growth of our game designers and fostering a thriving design culture.
Responsibilities
- Partner with the CCO to establish robust creative frameworks and best practices for the entire design team.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to game designers, UX designers, and content designers, guiding their professional development.
- Cultivate a positive and inclusive environment within the design team, where collaboration and innovation flourish.
- Deliver coaching and development opportunities to designers under your supervision, empowering them to reach their full potential.
- Ensure new hires have a seamless onboarding experience with clearly defined goals and expectations.
- Drive initiatives to enhance design processes and practices, continuously seeking improvement and optimization.
- Advocate for the design team at a company-wide level, ensuring their contributions are recognized and valued.
Requirements
- Proven experience in leading and managing successful design teams within the gaming industry.
- A deep understanding of game design principles and best practices.
- Knowledge of the free-to-play (F2P) casual mobile market landscape.
