Job Title: Contracts Manager - Commercial Fit-Out

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our client, a reputable family-run Fit-Out Contractor based in Hertfordshire. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of Site Managers and reporting directly to the Managing Directors.

About the Role

The Contracts Manager will be involved in the delivery of projects across the South East, with a minimum of 3 projects at any given time. Key responsibilities include:

  • Overall responsibility for the delivery of projects
  • Travel to sites across the South East
  • Calculate prime costs on developments within the business
  • Deal with valuations and payment notices
  • Provide detailed cost budget plans and share with the site team
  • Maintain schedules of quantities and price them for the prime cost budget
  • Prepare estimates of all costs, including sub-contractors and materials
  • Overall responsibility to successfully deliver all construction projects on time and within agreed budget
  • Work closely with the supply chain and clients, providing market-leading technical expertise

Requirements

To be successful as a Contracts Manager, you will need:

  • 3+ years' experience as a Contracts Manager
  • Preferably a carpentry and joinery background
  • Ambitious and driven
  • Client-facing skills
