Maintenance Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Assistant to join our team at Jobwise Ltd. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our recreational facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the overall management of plant and equipment, including generators, HVAC equipment, and other facilities systems.
  • Support the Facilities Manager and Assistant Facilities Manager in maintaining the facilities and general upkeep.
  • Contribute to planned preventative maintenance programs to ensure the facilities operate efficiently and safely.
  • Assist on match/event days to ensure services and facilities operate effectively.
  • Prepare, implement, and monitor weekly, monthly, and annual maintenance programs.
  • Ensure the correct storage and control of consumable materials, equipment, and services.
  • Comply with method statements and safe working practices.
  • Ensure resources are used efficiently and standards of work are maintained.

Requirements:

  • Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance, as well as general maintenance tasks.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with the facilities team.
  • Experience with PPM maintenance is beneficial.
  • Awareness of relevant health and safety legislation.
  • Formal trade qualification and relevant certifications (e.g., First Aid at Work, Manual Handling training).
  • A full valid driving license.
