We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Kitchen Porter to join our team at Sodexo Live St James' Park, Newcastle United Football Club. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and efficiency of our kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and crockery
- Perform visual hazard checks of the kitchen and report any issues to the supervisor
- Operate the dishwasher and ensure correct disposal of rubbish
- Clean and tidy the kitchen throughout and after service
- Use correct chemicals for cleaning purposes and follow COSHH guidelines
- Wear correct PPE at all times, including full uniform and safety shoes
- Store and remove unused trolleys and grates correctly
- Ensure the kitchen meets safeguard requirements
- Report any broken or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor immediately
- Clock out and sign off with the senior manager at the end of each shift
- Previous experience in a similar role is essential
- Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Being friendly and professional, with a positive attitude
- Good attention to detail and punctuality
- Being proactive and able to resolve conflicts and take criticism
