We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Midwife to join our team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Community Midwife, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to women and their families in the community.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a community caseload, providing antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care to women and their families.
- Work collaboratively with a team of midwives to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.
- Participate in on-call shifts to provide homebirth services and respond to emergencies.
- Identify and address additional social, emotional, and physical needs of patients and their families.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with local healthcare providers and community organizations.
- Registered midwife at Degree/Diploma level.
- Minimum of 1 year's post-registration experience as a midwife.
- Experience of providing care to low-risk women in the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal period.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
