Primary Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Teacher to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in North London. The successful candidate will work with students who have been out of mainstream education due to physical or mental health challenges, with the aim of reintegrating them back into mainstream schools.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons for students with various needs, with the goal of re-engaging students with learning.
  • Tailor lesson plans to suit individual students' needs and interests, promoting confidence and independence.
  • Implement effective behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Collaborate with specialist teaching services, medical staff, counsellors, and psychologists to provide comprehensive support.
  • Ensure awareness of safeguarding policies and procedures to guarantee the safety and well-being of students.
Requirements:
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Early Career Teacher status (ECT) is not required, but desirable.
