Key Responsibilities:- Develop and Implement Health and Safety Policies: Create and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures that align with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the Health and Safety Team: Manage a team of health and safety professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the effective implementation of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify and assess potential hazards in the workplace, developing and implementing strategies to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.
- Develop and Deliver Training Programs: Design and deliver training programs to ensure employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
- Investigate Incidents: Conduct thorough investigations into incidents and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain Compliance: Ensure the company remains compliant with all relevant health and safety regulations and standards, including those related to environmental health and safety.
- Qualifications: Hold a NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ, NVQ Level 5 in Occupational Health and Safety, or equivalent in Health and Safety.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in health and safety management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and standards, risk assessment and mitigation, incident investigation, and training program development.
