About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network and Systems Analyst to join our team at Just Group plc, a leading Financial Services company specializing in retirement solutions. As a key member of our Defined Benefit (DB) System Development team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our ambitious growth plans.

Key Responsibilities
  1. DB System Development: Collaborate with the DB System Development team to develop and maintain our Pricing platform, ensuring efficient and accurate pricing of bulk annuities.
  2. Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance processes and integrate technology to drive innovation and efficiency within the DB Core Pricing team.
  3. Technical Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of systems, tools, and coding languages used in DB Systems Development, and proactively share knowledge with the team.
  4. Requirements Gathering: Work closely with the DB Core Pricing team to gather requirements and specifications for model development, testing, and validation.
  5. Interoperability: Collaborate with the DB Strategic Development team to ensure the Pricing and Data platforms are interoperable.
  6. Proposition Development: Work with the DB Pricing and Proposition Development teams to ensure new or enhanced propositions can be supported with our Pricing platform.
  7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues in Finance and Reporting, DB Data and Transitions, and DB Operations teams to ensure model and data structure changes flow through effectively.
  8. Culture Promotion: Proactively promote a culture of collaboration and engagement across the DB Pricing & Reinsurance team.
Requirements
  1. Programming Languages: Familiarity with programming languages for financial modeling, such as Julia, Python, R, or VBA.
  2. Automated Testing: Understanding of automated testing and continuous integration.
  3. Databases: Experience working with databases, including SQL and Access.
  4. Coding Experience: Coding experience in a workplace setting, using languages such as Julia, Python, R, or VBA.
  5. Technical Actuarial Concepts: Sound knowledge of technical actuarial concepts or financial economics.
  6. UK Defined Benefit Pension Schemes: Good knowledge and awareness of UK Defined Benefit pension schemes, the DB buy in/buy out market, life insurance, and relevant regulation.
