About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and observant Security Officer to join our team at ABM UK. As a Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol and Surveillance: Patrol assigned areas and maintain a visible presence to deter illegal activities, monitor surveillance cameras and alarms for suspicious activities.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or security incidents.
  • Access Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure all access points are secure and enforce company policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment.
  • Customer Service: Interact with visitors, employees, and contractors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Reporting: Write accurate reports detailing all observations and incidents.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Security Officer or similar role is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Stress Management: Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and observation skills.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy and familiarity with security equipment.
  • Licensing: Must possess a valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) license.
  • Physical Fitness: Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs for extended periods.
