Our mission is to establish a global AI category leader for one billion construction projects, delivering substantial value to our clients and contributing positively to the global community, given that 40% of the world's carbon emissions stem from the $12 trillion construction industry. To achieve this vision, we set ambitious targets, collaborate effectively as a team, and maintain a belief that anything is achievable.
In response to our rapid growth and increasing market demand, we are seeking a talented, driven, and technically proficient Principal Computer Vision Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will oversee 3D vision and deep learning projects from inception to completion, collaborating closely with Software and Product teams to convert data into critical insights for vision and deep learning initiatives. As you progress in this position, you will also manage the relationship with our chief scientific advisor, Professor Konrad Schindler from ETH Zurich.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop the Contilio 3D AI pipeline, leveraging the latest advancements in 3D data processing, vision, and machine learning techniques, including system architecture and testing.
- Implement algorithms, structures, and labeling processes for 3D data that can scale efficiently with our growing enterprise clientele.
- Identify and resolve data, pipeline, and operational bottlenecks, proposing enhancements and executing scalable solutions in an agile environment.
- Manage AI and vision project activities and oversee data operations.
- Mentor and train junior team members and assist in recruitment as we expand our 3D AI team.
Essential Technical Skills:
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in 3D computer vision, machine vision, computational geometry, or related fields.
- Proven experience managing AI and machine learning projects from design through to deployment.
- Expertise in Python, delivering scalable and high-quality production code.
- Strong proficiency in 3D AI and computer vision frameworks and libraries.
- Experience with 3D data processing, including point clouds and Lidar data.
- PhD or MSc in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, or related disciplines.

Additional Qualifications:
- Experience in a startup environment, particularly in AI, computer vision, or enterprise software.
- Familiarity with machine learning and deep learning frameworks for 3D data.
- Proficiency in relational database management systems, preferably Postgres.
- Experience deploying applications on AWS or utilizing Docker.
- Knowledge of BIM or construction design tools.
