About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled System Analyst to join our team at Northern Powergrid. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a smooth transition from our legacy systems to our new Investment Delivery Management System (IDMS).

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate meetings to highlight, escalate, and resolve any issues within the usability of the system.
  • Apply and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet company and regulatory deliverables.
  • Support the annual regulatory reporting submission in the retrieval and allocation of assets installed and removed in the regulatory period and allocation of the associated costs.
  • Develop and maintain management information.
  • Undertake bespoke data extracts using SQL to monitor various aspects of delivery of the capital plan.
  • Develop bespoke PowerBI reports.
  • Drive continuous improvement of the system processes.
  • Support for the different user groups who directly interact with the system along with those indirect users responsible for delivery.
  • Develop and maintain instructional and process documentation.
  • Interpret and interrogate the system to supply data, summaries, and visual representations based on the intended audience.
Key Competencies
  • Highly IT literate.
  • Confidently and efficiently deliver meetings and able to facilitate discussions with groups of people with disparate aims to meet defined project requirements and delivery objectives.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills - able to analyze and interpret performance data, form logical conclusions, and ask critical questions of the information.
  • Uses a rational, data-driven approach to decision making to remain objective, minimize risk, and to justify the selection of a course of action.
  • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Undertakes routine analysis with little or no supervision and uses problem-solving techniques along with Plan, Execute, Measure, Correct.
  • Identifies and analyzes trends and patterns in information detecting key issues.
  • Works well under a high degree of pressure, staying calm and composed, able to meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications and Attributes
  • Degree-level qualification - in a STEM discipline.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • System analysis experience.
  • Process mapping and analysis.
  • PowerBI reporting.
