About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our team at Tozer Associates. As an Electrical Building Services Design Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and delivering Electrical Building Service Engineering related projects across the authority.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and specification of Electrical Building Services, including LV Distribution, Power Generation, Small Power, Lighting, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarms, Nurse call, Lightning Protection, Controls, etc.
  • Application and use of low carbon technologies, including vehicle charging, PV generation, battery storage, etc.
  • Project Management and delivery of Electrical Building Service related projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget to the quality expectations of the client.
  • Support the Electrical Teams Project Manager in the effective delivery of all Building Service related projects.
  • Manage external consultants in the delivery of projects, ensuring KPIs are met and quality is maintained.
  • Liaise with other services within the authority and across other disciplines within the Building Design Team and wider Asset Management Service.
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance to internal and external customers, making technical and professional recommendations within the Electrical discipline.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in Electrical Building Services Design Engineering.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Electrical Building Services, including LV Distribution, Power Generation, Small Power, Lighting, Emergency Lighting, Fire Alarms, Nurse call, Lightning Protection, Controls, etc.
