We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operating Department Practitioner to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the efficient operation of our theatres.
Main Responsibilities- Assist Anaesthetists in safe care, not only in a theatre setting but also in outlying areas such as Imaging suites and Emergency Services department.
- Provide professional leadership within the clinical area and provide direction and inspirational leadership to all members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and implement protocols and guidelines to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Contribute to the development of staff and provide training and education to ensure the team is equipped to provide excellent patient care.
We are looking for a candidate with:
- BSc/1st degree (health related) or equivalent qualification/training and experience.
- Mentorship course.
- Intermediate Life Support Provider.
- RN1/RN2 or RN12 Registered Nurse on the NMC register/Operating Department Practitioner on the HCPC register.
- Experience of supervising an area, including management of rotas, resources, and supervision of staff.
- Experience of clinical supervision.
