Role Overview: We are expanding our Engineering Department and are seeking a new Process Development Engineer specializing in Glass Mineral Wool (GMW). This role can be based in various locations and will report directly to the Hot End Process Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Standardize, enhance, and support the glass wool manufacturing process across all facilities, focusing on process development, efficiency, and sustainability.
  • Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) to identify manufacturing improvements.
  • Utilize statistical tools (such as Minitab and Excel) to analyze data and report on performance metrics across GMW plants.
  • Engage in regular travel to support operations and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the development of new products by optimizing key properties relevant to their applications.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to advance new technologies within the insulation sector.
  • Implement process controls and devise innovative assessment methods to enhance production quality.
  • Provide technical support for process or product-related challenges across all plants.
  • Prepare and present regular technical and operational reports to management and stakeholders.
Qualifications:

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a solid foundation in MS Office and statistical software. A degree in Engineering is essential. The ideal candidate will also be willing to travel frequently (up to 30%).

Preferred Experience:

  • Industrial experience is advantageous.
  • Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French or German is a plus.
  • Experience in project management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing techniques is beneficial.
  • Strong presentation skills for diverse audiences are expected.
  • Understanding of financial budgeting and constraints is useful.
