Clearfield Recruitment is seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join our client's team in Colchester, Essex. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in groundworks and civils, with a proven track record of managing high-value contracts and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage multiple groundworks and civil engineering projects, ensuring timely completion, budget adherence, and high-quality standards.
  2. Lead project teams, providing guidance and support for efficient project delivery.
  3. Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and schedules.
  4. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  5. Manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring their performance meets project requirements.
  6. Report regularly to senior management on project status, risks, and necessary adjustments.
  7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within projects and the broader business.
About the Client:

Our client is a well-established company specializing in groundworks and civil engineering projects. They handle occasional commercial projects and infrastructure works, all within a 45-minute radius of Colchester.

Requirements:
  • Strong experience in groundworks and civils, particularly in managing large-scale projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and forecasts.
  • Valid driving license.
