About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Highway Engineer to join our team in the Infrastructure business. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of highway infrastructure projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, design, and delivery of highway infrastructure projects, including road construction, maintenance, and improvement schemes.
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and meet customer requirements.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of multidisciplinary teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and other internal teams, to ensure effective communication and project delivery.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and mitigating risks, and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve project delivery and business performance.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in highway infrastructure project management, with a strong track record of delivering complex projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, and a professional membership with a relevant institution, such as the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE).
