Position:
Junior Environmental Chemist - Hazardous Waste

SALARY:
£27,000 - £28,000 plus Pension Benefits

WORKING HOURS:
Monday to Friday, Day Shifts, 37 hours per week

IDEAL CANDIDATE:
We are seeking individuals who may have experience as a Site Chemist, Process Chemist, Technical Evaluator, Transfer Station Chemist, Industrial Chemist, Hazpack Chemist, Chempac Chemist, Shift Chemist, or Reception Chemist, holding a minimum of an HNC qualification or higher.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
This position is primarily site-based, making it suitable for a hands-on individual who enjoys outdoor work, as approximately 70% of the role will be conducted on-site, with limited laboratory tasks.

You will be engaged in a hazardous waste management processing facility, with responsibilities including the operation of Forklift Trucks (FLT) - training will be provided.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must possess a Chemistry qualification (minimum HNC, ideally a degree) or a degree with at least four modules that include chemistry in the title.

Experience with forklifts or in a yard/warehouse setting is advantageous, but comprehensive training will be offered.

PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to work outdoors and may have interests that reflect this, such as participation in outdoor sports, involvement in the Duke of Edinburgh Award, or other outdoor activities.
